New York City, June 3, 2025 – IE New York College (IENYC) students began the second term of their Master of Science in Business for Social Impact and Sustainability with an exclusive masterclass led by Enrico Letta, former Prime Minister of Italy and current Dean of IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs.
Hailing from 15 countries, the IENYC Master of Science in Business for Social Impact and Sustainability students dedicate their academic journey to designing innovative business strategies that align positive impact with business growth and long-term success.
Dean Letta, author of the report on the future of the European Union (EU) Single Market commissioned by the European Commission, engaged students in an in-depth discussion on how the EU can adapt to today’s rapidly evolving global landscape. Key priorities such as financing the green and digital transitions and strengthening Europe's innovation capacity were central themes of the conversation.
“To succeed, the EU Single Market must fulfill its promises of shared prosperity.”
Enrico Letta, Dean at IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs
"We must continue to safeguard the Four Freedoms – the movement of people, services, goods, and capital – but we also need to advance the Fifth Freedom: the free movement of knowledge, innovation, skills, and education. This should be complemented by the creation of a Savings and Investment Union to channel funds towards building strong and green European champions in strategic sectors, able to truly compete at a global scale", Letta added.
