AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

You can explore the various awards and scholarship opportunities available for master’s programs in this page. Unless otherwise noted, the deadline for scholarship applications is the program’s start date. All awards are automatically considered, requiring no additional application. For scholarships, financial need is a key factor, particularly for exceptional candidates facing challenges in securing other financing options, such as loans. Please note that meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee a positive outcome.

When to Apply

  • IE University 3+1 candidates

    IE University 3+1 candidates should submit the scholarship application at the same time as their IENYC admission application. Admission and scholarship decisions are communicated together. 

  •  other candidates

    All other candidates may begin the scholarship application after submitting their IENYC admission application. Submit the scholarship application before the program starts. Applying early is recommended, especially if the applicant will need to apply for a visa

DIRECT AWARDS

These merit-based awards are granted automatically to candidates upon admission without needing to submit a scholarship application. All admissions applicants are automatically considered.

    COMMON GOOD MERIT AWARD

    This merit-based award recognizes candidates who have demonstrated a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their organizations, communities and beyond. Leadership in initiatives related to social impact or sustainability will be highly valued. Open to all programs and nationalities, candidates are automatically considered once they begin the admission process, with no need to submit a scholarship application. If nominated for this award, candidates will be informed in their admission letter. Both the number of awards and amount of tuition fee coverage can vary.

    IENYC HIGH POTENTIAL AWARD

    This merit-based award rewards candidates who have excelled academically and/or professionally. Open to all programs and nationalities, candidates are automatically considered once they begin the admission process, with no need to submit a scholarship application. If nominated for this award, candidates will be informed in their admission letter. Both the number of awards and amount of tuition fee coverage can vary.

IENYC SCHOLARSHIP (Need- and Merit-Based)

This scholarship considers both academic merit and a student’s financial circumstances. To apply, complete the online Financial Assistance Application and submit the required financial information and supporting documents.

The review may consider your academic and admissions profile, employment and income, family circumstances, debt and other financial obligations, and additional funding sources such as loans, employer support, or external scholarships. Financial information must be reported in U.S. dollars and supported by documentation.

Keeping your scholarship

Some awards may require you to remain in good academic standing, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, or successfully complete at least 50% of your courses each term. Your official award notice will explain the specific conditions for your scholarship.

Requesting a review

If you experience an unexpected change in your financial circumstances, such as a denied loan or a family emergency, you may request a reassessment. Requests must include documentation of the new circumstances and are reviewed individually.

Partner Scholarships and Funding

 IENYC works with partner organizations to offer selected students additional tuition support and financing opportunities. Each partner has its own application process and eligibility requirements. Start by applying for admission to IENYC, then follow the steps for the partner program you are interested in.  

Before You Apply:

These partner programs have limited availability and separate application requirements. Contact the relevant organization for its current application instructions and deadlines. Guatefuturo benefits may be combined with other IENYC scholarships, subject to a separate IENYC application and review.

  • FUNED Scholarship

    For Mexican students admitted to IENYC whose studies are financed by FUNED.

    IENYC may award up to seven scholarships per year, each covering 15% of tuition. Where to apply: Apply for admission through IENYC and contact FUNED directly about its scholarship and financing application process. Students must be selected by FUNED and meet IENYC’s admission requirement

  • FIDERH Loan–Tuition Support

    For Mexican students admitted to a full-time IENYC master’s program and selected for a FIDERH loan.

    IENYC may provide up to seven tuition benefits per year, each equivalent to 15% of tuition.Where to apply: First apply to IENYC. After receiving an unconditional offer of admission, apply to FIDERH for its loan program. FIDERH selects loan beneficiaries; eligible students may then be considered for IENYC tuition support.

  • Fundación Guatefuturo Corporate Credit–Benefit

    For Guatemalan students admitted to a full-time IENYC postgraduate program and selected by Fundación Guatefuturo.

    IENYC may award up to five benefits per academic year, each covering up to 25% of tuition. No more than one benefit may be awarded per program per intake. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, and a strong profile. Applications must be submitted at least three months before the program begins.Where to apply: Apply for admission through IENYC, then apply to Fundación Guatefuturo through its Corporate Credit–Benefit Program. Benefits are subject to available program seats and the annual quota. IENYC makes the final award decision. At a beneficiary’s request, Guatefuturo may separately finance remaining tuition and other program costs through its Credit–Scholarship Program, up to US$25,000 per year for a maximum of two years.

  • Sallie Mae Private Student Loans

    Sallie Mae offers private student loans that may help eligible U.S. students cover education costs. 

     Students can explore loan options and review eligibility, rates, and repayment terms directly with Sallie Mae.

    International students studying in the U.S. may be eligible to apply for a Sallie Mae private student loan with a creditworthy cosigner who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Eligibility and loan approval depend on Sallie Mae’s requirements. Explore the options and review the terms directly on Sallie Mae’s website.
