President of Madrid Region Visits IENYC to Build Bridges Between Madrid and New York
During her visit, Díaz Ayuso highlighted Madrid’s strong position as a global hub for education, innovation, investment and economic growth, and encouraged deeper partnerships with New York-based institutions and companies.
Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of Madrid Region, visited IE New York College (IENYC) on June 26 as part of her official trip to the US. During her visit, Ayuso met with the College’s leadership, engaged with current IENYC students, and emphasized the importance of building stronger academic and corporate bridges between Madrid and New York, two leading global hubs of innovation, education, investment and economic growth.
Díaz Ayuso was welcomed by Manuel Muñiz, Chair of the IENYC Board of Trustees, and Jacqueline LeBlanc, Interim President of the College. Located in the heart of SoHo, IENYC is a state-of-the-art academic institution dedicated to fostering innovation and driving positive impact through education.
After visiting the campus, Isabel Díaz Ayuso took part in a roundtable discussion with students from the Master of Science in Business for Social Impact and Sustainability, a program that redefines business as a force for good.
The President of Madrid Region, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, emphasized the importance of collaboration and global engagement, noting that we are living in a time when "alliances and openness are more crucial than ever." She also highlighted that "Madrid is becoming increasingly youthful and outward-looking." Díaz Ayuso underscored the value of partnering with institutions such as IE University, which she described as sharing a commitment to talent, innovation, and – above all – an education rooted in creativity and ambition. "For us, IE University serves as a kind of embassy," the President affirmed, "and it is a source of great pride to witness the continued growth of this institution, its ascent in international rankings, and its consistent recognition among the leading business schools and universities worldwide."
“IENYC stands as a key academic and cultural bridge between Europe and the United States, reinforcing the transatlantic bond at a time when geopolitical tensions and global challenges demand deeper cooperation. Our mission is to connect talent and ideas across borders, fostering innovation and critical thinking, and to shape a new generation of business leaders”, said Manuel Muñiz, Chair of the IENYC Board of Trustees.
IENYC currently offers a Master of Science in Business for Social Impact and Sustainability and will launch a new Master of Science in Management in September 2025. Two additional programs, a Master of Science in Finance and a Master of Science in Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence, will be launched in September 2026.
