WORKING IN THE US AFTER YOUR MASTER’S PROGRAM
International students in the Master of Science in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence are eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), which allows you to work in the US for up to 12 months post-graduation. And since this is a STEM degree, you may also be eligible for an extension of your OPT for up to two additional years.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
ABOUT THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Chechu Lasheras is the Program Director for the M.S. in Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence at IE New York College (IENYC). With over 20 years of executive experience, Chechu has led digital transformation and strategy for major global organizations, including Grupo PRISA, Axel Springer, Deloitte, and Canela Media, where he currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer.
Chechu’s work spans media, technology, and digital innovation, with a focus on integrating strategy and data-driven decision-making into business strategy. At Miami Dade College, he established innovation centers in AI, cybersecurity, and business analytics, collaborating with tech leaders like Google, Bloomberg, and Meta to connect academia with industry.
As a faculty member at IE Business School since 2013, Chechu has taught courses in marketing, data, and digital strategy, blending real-world insights with academic rigor. He holds an Executive MBA from IE and has studied innovation at institutions like Singularity University, Harvard, and MIT.
Under his leadership, the IENYC program prepares students to lead in the AI-driven economy, combining technical fluency, business acumen, and ethical responsibility.
