IE New York College Appoints its Advisory Council to Drive Transformation in Higher Education

Bringing together global leaders, the Advisory Council will support IENYC’s commitment to shape globally minded leaders who drive innovation with purpose.

New York, October 27, 2025. IE New York College (IENYC) has announced the constitution of its Advisory Council, an independent, non-governing body composed of distinguished global leaders from the fields of business, academia, diplomacy, and civil society. The Council will provide strategic advice to the institution and serve as a thought partner on issues shaping the future of education, innovation, and global leadership.

The Advisory Council’s mission is to support IENYC’s commitment to develop globally minded leaders who drive innovation with purpose, ensuring that the College remains at the forefront of transformative, ethically grounded, and internationally connected education.

Among the founding members are:

  • Tom Glocer, Director at Morgan Stanley and Merck. Former CEO of Thomson Reuters.
  • Bernardo Hernández, Entrepreneur and investor. Former executive at Google and Yahoo!.
  • Noeleen Heyzer, former UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UNIFEM.
  • Merit E. Janow, Chair of Mastercard and former Dean of Columbia SIPA.
  • Susana Malcorra, former Foreign Minister of Argentina and Chief of Staff to the United Nations Secretary-General.
  • Jesús Mantas, Global Managing Partner, IBM Consulting. Board member, Biogen.
  • Amisha Parekh, Managing Director & Global Head of Sustainability, Blackstone.
  • Leah Pisar, President, The Aladdin Project.
  • Jane Reiss, Managing Partner, Brunswick Group. Former CMO, NYC & Company.
  • Mark Rosen, Partner, Advection Growth Capital. Former U.S. Executive Director at the IMF.

According to its Charter, the IENYC Advisory Council will act as a strategic advisory body, providing insight, foresight, and counsel on key institutional priorities. Its members will help guide academic development, support corporate and institutional partnerships, and identify opportunities for innovation. 

The Council will meet regularly to discuss global trends in education, technology, career development, sustainability, and society, contributing to IENYC’s mission of shaping the next generation of globally oriented and purpose-driven leaders.
